Discovery Ventures Continues Sampling and Mapping Work at La Sarita Project

Discovery Ventures has announced that its field team is currently ongoing with grid soil sampling and geological mapping work at its La Sarita project, located in Sonora Mexico.

This work stage has incorporated a three-dimensional induced polarization (IP) survey for outlining the sub surface geological formations, and has completed diamond drilling, underground and surface sampling program. This project has silver and copper mineralization over a length of at least 2.4 km of the strike with signs of 100 to 500 m deep. At present, Discovery is ongoing a comprehensive sampling program all through the property for finding the high priority drilling targets.

Dr. R. H. McMillan has suggested performing a soil sampling and further mapping to optimize the drilling campaign. Additionally, the drill targets will be outlined by the geochemical work in order to examine the strong magnetic and IP anomalies in the grid’s northeast part.

The diamond drill holes may examine the present top-priority targets. The company has planned the proposed drill holes D, E and F to comprise a barrier to examine for the hypogene skarn-manto and supergene type mineralization, which may form at the basis of the strong magnetic-IP anomaly at the property’s west-central section. Area outcrops have percolated the boxwork silica and garnet skarn that implies a strong supergene leaching of material, which is rich in sulphide.

The La Sarita property covers several significant mining operations that are artisanal type with both surface and underground works.

The company is excited with this project expansion and to drill at the La Sarita project. It has exposed fresh prospect zones due to the ongoing further sampling.
