El Condor Minerals Initiates Work Program at Horden Lake Project
El Condor Minerals has commenced the work program for 2012 at the Horden Lake copper project in Quebec.
The company has started the phase I of the 2012 work program. Drilling of at least 3,000 m has been included in the phase I program in order to extend the present resource at Horden Lake and to gather metallurgical samples for the proposed optimization and engineering studies. The NI 43-101 resource report of the company is based on the 2008 drilling program. Similar to that program, the present drill program has been designed in such a way that it will test and confirm further resource information based on the property’s previous INCO and Noranda holes. The company will start drilling in February and the program may be extended.
Ontario-based Caracle Creek International Consulting has been engaged by El Condor for drilling‘s project management. The company has engaged Quebec-based Forage Perfection for drilling services. Both the contractors have a wide experience in drilling the northern area of Quebec. Caracle Creek is more responsible for the two latest NI 43-101 reports of the Horden Lake project. It is expected that the phase I of the drilling program will be completed in April.
A Preliminary Economic Assessment, a modified resource estimate and metallurgical testing will be included in the phase II and III of the work program, when the drill program is completed.
