California Gold Schedules Drilling Program at AuroTellurio Project

California Gold has declared that it has planned to start the search for gold from April 2012. The drilling program will commence in the AuroTellurio Project , which is situated in the La Bambolla gold-tellurium mining district, close by Moctezuma in Mexico. The initial diamond drilling program for 3,000 m has been planned to drill six core holes in the project area.

Three targets have been delineated through geological works. The main target, a huge, porphyry-type environment connected with igneous intrusion projections, includes base and valuable metal mineralization. The other two targets have individual valuable metal veins for gold and silver and include tellurium mineralization as well.

The project is present in a rough mountainous region of North Sonora and can be accessed from other two mining concessions of the company.

The airmagnetics-radiometrics and gravity geophysical surveys were conducted by two separate contractors. Through the geological surveys, the company has identified a 5 x 2.5 km oval shaped region for mineralization, which extends towards northwest. An intrusion, which is thought to be the source of gold-tellurium minerals at depth, has been observed in the region.

From the results obtained through gravity survey, the company has narrowed down to a particular intrusive area, 800 x 1400 m, located in the oval region’s southern third area. Further, the airmagnetics-radiometrics survey confirmed it.

The drill sites have been selected on the deep confirmed area. Two drill holes have been scheduled at a depth of 700 m with an interval of 1000 m between them.

In the other target La Viuda, two drill holes are scheduled to explore silver and further, gold- tellurium occurrences. The third target, Target 1, is situated 2 km southeast from La Bambolla mine. Tellurium and quartz veins are detected in this target.
