EI Systems has announced that the United States Patent and Trademark Office has granted a patent-pending status for their web-based Rail Manager service. Clients use Rail Manager to track the status and location of railcars within large industrial sites and short-line rail yards.
Railcar tracking, often a very manual process, becomes a highly automated system.

Its color-coded yard maps facilitate inventory control, product tracking and car placement decisions. Sophisticated reporting features allow users to access key business information from any location on a 24 x 7 basis.
