Laurion Mineral Exploration Begins Drilling at Sturgeon River Property

Laurion Mineral Exploration has declared that a drill rig has been mobilized by Northstar Drilling of Thunder Bay to the Sturgeon River property. Drilling has been started at the property.

The company’s drill campaign includes diamond drilling of 1,200 m, totaling about 8 to 10 holes, across stratigraphy of 500 m on the northeast expansion of the A-Zone located at the Loki trend. The volcanic massive sulphide (VMS) Loki trend, rich in precious metals, has a postulated strike length of 2,000m.

This drill stage will be one of the campaigns that will contain twinning, extensional exploration and infill drill program. The objective of the program is to bring the Loki trend to a National Instrument 43-101 compliant resource calculation.

The company may take about six to eight months to complete these drilling campaigns. After this work, grid drilling will be conducted along the Tehya-Ahki trend having enough drill spacing to enable this region to progress towards NI 43-101 resource calculation. This work is expected to be completed in 12 to 18 months

Mr. Campbell is a qualified person for the company’s Sturgeon River project and is also the project manager.

The target of the company is to shift from explorer to producer, and visualizes the realization of wealth and value of shareholders by means of monetization of its assets and discoveries. The exploration horizons of the company are mainly concentrated on gold and secondarily in base metals, together with main interests on potential mining properties situated in Nevada, USA and Ontario, Canada
