Golden Bridge Mining Drills First Four Holes at Hébécourt Project

Golden Bridge Mining (GBM) reported that it has initially drilled four holes, totaling 445 m, through the exploratory diamond drilling campaign carried out at the Hébécourt project in Northwest Québec, Canada.

The project is located towards the southern part of the productive Porcupine-Destor fault, which contains several gold mines and deposits. This project potentially hosts lode gold shear zone associated with gold-bearing deposit areas that were identical to Kirkland and Timmins lake in Ontario, and huge base metal sulphide deposits, which are characteristic of Rouyn-Noranda high-grade mining camp in Quebec. The Hébécourt project is currently operated by Northern Skye Resources.

Northern Skye completed an aerial geophysical survey, which includes 298.5 line-km of surveying followed up by geological sampling and mapping and prospecting in order to discover priority target areas for the phase I campaign.

Next geophysical and geological analysis along with the prior historical exploration review at the property, which includes 5,034 m of diamond drill program, recommends that the favourable geological horizon containing the adjacent Fabie Bay and Magusi base metal deposits may possibly exist across a huge portion of the project.

The phase I diamond drilling was specifically designed to examine certain geological analysis that leads to the discovery of several lode volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) and gold type target areas at the Hébécourt project. GBM is waiting for the assay results of the drill campaign.

The Hébécourt project includes 3,685 ha, totaling 91 claim areas, in Northwest Québec and lies about 640 m towards the Magusi River deposit’s eastern part. Mag Copper has taken the Magusi River deposit under option.

The company considers that potential for lode-type shear zone housed gold deposits, and VMS-type deposits may be present at the Hébécourt project.
