Ateba Resources Announces Plans to Drill at Walsh Mine Area

Ateba Resources has planned to conduct a drill campaign at the Walsh Mine area located in Larder Group property in Ontario.

The drill program will include a diamond drilling of  minimum 1,500 m towards the northwestern part of the current mine shaft, as well an additional drilling of  1,000 m. The company will complete the campaign before this year end.

Ateba Resources encountered 1.40 g/t gold over 2 m and 0.47 g/t gold over 16 m in hole AR-12-51; 5.24 g/t gold over 1 m and 2.68 g/t gold over 3 m in hole AR-12-50 drilled in the Walsh Mine area.

These drilling results validate the existence of numerous sub-parallel quartz vein mineralization. Analysis of level plans and sections generated from all  the prior drill programs s how that the mineralization found below the historic shaft is broader in distribution when compared to the deposit’s northwestern levels.

High-grade quartz veinlets and quartz veining zones are scattered in this wider zone. Mineralization is separated to higher grade discrete intervals along the mineralized trend located towards northwest.

The main goal of the program is to follow mineralization at depth beneath the extents of earlier drill programs and beneath historic mine works. It is being indicated that mineralization may potentially continue to depth. This program is specifically designed to examine the strength and continuity of mineralized gold at depth. The secondary goal of the proposed campaign is to outline the strike level of mineralization. This goal will be addressed when short holes aimed to intercept the strike expansions of prominent mineralized trends towards northwest and southeast.

The company expects to start the proposed drill program in early October and will announce the results, once they become available.
