Pure Energy Minerals, Phoenix Water Ink Mutual Cooperation Agreement

PURE ENERGY MINERALS LIMITED ("PURE" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that it has entered into a Mutual Cooperation Agreement (the "Agreement") with PHOENIX WATER ("PHOENIX") dated March 3, 2014. PHOENIX is an Australian-based technology company with proprietary processing technologies for lithium and other by-product minerals (the "PWT").

The PWT is clean, green, patented and can be used to treat super-saline brine and industrial wastewaters to zero liquid discharge.

Pursuant to the terms of the Agreement, PURE and PHOENIX have agreed to discuss and determine opportunities to jointly collaborate and to propose the first location for the installation, testing and demonstration of the PWT at or near PURE's mineral claims in Esmeralda County, Nevada, USA.

PURE's CEO Robert Mintak commented, "We are very pleased to sign this Agreement with PHOENIX. When talking about mining for resources, there is always an environmental concern that we must be aware of. Lithium mining carries high environmental costs as the conventional evaporation process of recovering lithium from brine causes the loss of tens millions of gallons of water to the atmosphere every year in some of the most arid locations on the globe. The patented PWT design utilizes a unique evaporative process for recovering large volumes of pure water from super-saline brines, such as the lithium rich brines that occur in the Clayton Valley area. PWT has the potential for valuable decreases in processing time for lithium, whilst reducing and possibly eliminating the huge footprint, cost and environmental issues associated with evaporation ponds and the pure water resulting from the recovery process could benefit local communities, agriculture and industry."

Nicholas Wakim, Founder and CEO of PHOENIX, said, "Unlike conventional zero liquid discharge systems, PWT is designed to operate at ambient pressure and low temperature which removes the need for expensive pressurized or vacuum systems. Another key design feature allows PWT to run on low-grade waste heat and/or renewable energy sources providing unmatched operational expenditure. PWT can interface with other best of breed processes to provide a totally integrated solution, potentially enabling PURE's mineral claims to become a showcase for next generation mining projects that are scalable, economically viable and environmentally sound."

PHOENIX is being assisted by one of the world's leading engineering, architecture and environmental consulting companies, GHD, which is providing technology consulting and project management services. Richard Fechner, GHD's Global Technical Leader - Energy & Resources, said, "Drawing on our extensive experience across water and resources sectors, the GHD team has provided advice on how the commercial and technical capabilities of PWT can be best articulated. Our detailed costing analysis has helped prepare PWT for commercial trials and we are excited to be involved in this project with PURE and PHOENIX."
