Ausgold Limited was formed to utilise some of the latest innovations in geoscience to target areas in Australia prospective for the discovery of gold and copper-gold ore bodies. This work was carried out by the Centre for Exploration Targeting, an internationally renowned group affiliated with the University of Western Australia and Curtin University, using a team of highly qualified geoscientists with extensive experience in gold mineralising systems and exploration targeting.
The result was the acquisition by Ausgold of tenements covering 17,500 square kilometres of ground prospective for gold and copper mineralisation. These tenements cover a range of mineralising systems in known and emerging mineral provinces throughout Australia where potential exists for new gold and copper discoveries.

Prof. James Tour
AZoMining speaks with James Tour from Rice University about his team's exciting method that has the very real potential to recover valuable REE from three types of waste; electronic waste, coal fly ash and bauxite residue.
Craig Liddicoat from Flinders University speaks to AZoMining about his team's work on effective rehabilitation in post-mining ecosystems and whether it can set up a predictable trajectory of recovery. We also ask why ecosystem recovery is important in mining operations and the current limitations af
In this interview, Andrew Somers from SciAps Australia talks to AZoMining about the new Geochem Pro application for the Z range of handheld elemental analyzers, and the improvements that have been made to their technology over the last year.
