Avrupa Minerals has reported that the 2012 exploration work campaign will be commenced at the Covas joint venture project, North Portugal. Blackheath Resources possess a two-phase option to earn 70% of the Covas joint venture project, by paying €1million within March 2014.

This property is located in Northwest Alaska. On June 21, 2012, the company completed drill hole SUN 12-29 at a depth of about 203 m.

Northern Tiger Resources, a resource exploration firm based in Canada, has reported that it has started a diamond drill program at the company’s 3Ace project, located in the Southeast Yukon. The company has completed the initial two holes at the Main zone, wherein the 2011 program yielded up to 106.2 g/t gold over 1.0 m and 4.6 g/t gold over 35.0 m.
