Tom Albanese Chief Executive Officer of Rio Tinto said that the company was confident that the Australian mine tax issue would be resolved soon. He expects the government's transition committee to put the finishing touches to the proposed mining tax and work through any remaining disagreements.

Santos to Supply Natural Gas To Gladstone LNG

Santos Ltd has signed an agreement to supply conventional natural gas from its interests in the Cooper Basin to its proposed joint venture in Queensland, the Gladstone Liquefied Natural Gas (GLNG) plant. The joint venture is owned by Santos, Petronas from Malaysia and Total from France.
