Reservoir Minerals (RMC), an international mineral exploration firm, together with Freeport-McMoRan Exploration announced that high-grade mineralized copper and gold has been intersected in hole FMTC 1213 through the diamond drill program carried out at the Timok project in East Serbia. The hole also returned 10.16% copper equivalent (CuEq) over 160 m.

QMC Quantum Minerals commenced trenching and sampling work with the support of helicopters on the mining project in Mugaha Gold property, in British Columbia. In 2006, Wealth Minerals discovered gold mineralization in this property by performing geological surveys and geological mapping.

Landore Resources has provided an update on the drilling operation conducted at the Junior Lake nickel-copper project. The 2012 drill program has expanded the B4-7 deposit along strike and down dip towards the western part.
Cub Energy has announced that testing for gas has been completed at the Makeevskoye-20 (M-20) well at a rate of 5.3 MMcf per day. The well is located in Ukraine.

Dios Exploration has provided an update on the 33 Carats gold project. Granodioritic-tonalitic rocks as well as dispersed quartz veins and chalcopyrite-pyrite mineralization have been included in the project located towards the northwest part of the Eastmain gold mine. They indicate potential for mineralized gold porphyry.
On 31 August 2012, Royal Dutch Shell’s subsidiary Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria (SPDC) sold 30% interest in oil mining lease (OML) 40 to Elcrest Exploration and Production Nigeria. OML is located in the Niger Delta. SPDC has received approximately US$102 million as total cash proceeds through this deal.

Pan Orient Energy has announced that the company will suspend the Jatayu-1 exploration well, which is situated onshore Indonesia. This well is cased down to 4.5 in. and has a measured depth of 6,640 ft.
