Solstice Announces Start of Heliborne Magnetic Survey at Red Lake Extension Project

Solstice Gold Corporation, a gold-focused exploration company that explores high-quality exploration assets in top-tier jurisdictions, reports that it has started a property-wide, high-resolution, 1102 line-km heliborne magnetic survey on its newly optioned Red Lake Extension project.

The 50 m spacing of the survey will offer high-definition structural and magnetic data to support additional exploration on the project. This will supplement the present government (2008) electromagnetic and magnetic survey, which was flown at a spacing of 200 m and found 139 anomalies on the 33 km2 project.

Existing government surveys show a first order structure and numerous other structural features associated with extensive conductors. Given that gold deposits in the region are associated with specific structures, the ability to obtain high definition, cost-effective magnetic data will be an important step in allowing us to refine and potentially locate additional structures and targets.

David Adamson, Chairman, Solstice Gold Corporation

Results of the survey will be used to support an aggressive exploration program beginning in Spring, 2021,” Adamson added.

Very recently, Solstice signed an option agreement to obtain a 100% interest in the Red Lake Extension project that includes 10 claims (164 units, approximately 3300 ha) situated in the northern part of the Red Lake Gold District.

Solstice obtained the project on the basis of the understanding that the RLX covers nearly 14 km of strike length of a notable geological structure, corresponding to the surface expression of a deep structure found recently, with the help of historical seismic surveys, by geologists of the Ministry of Northern Development and Mines (MNDM), as the third significant structure in the district.

MNDM has reported that the other two main structures correspond with the significant gold deposits of the Red Lake Gold Complex (Evolution Mining), the Red Lake Gold Camp, and the LP fault of the Dixie project (Great Bear Resources).

More details related to the RLX Project are available in the company’s news release, dated February 4th, 2021.
