Helio Resource Begins Drill Program at SMP Gold Project in Tanzania

Helio Resource commences 20,000 m drilling program at SMP Gold Project in Tanzania.

The aims of the drill program are to increase the first resource calculation of SMP Gold Project significantly, to focus on expansion of resources at Porcupine and Kenge Targets and to analyze the Konokono, Tumbili and Kasuku targets for adding to the resource base constantly.

Diamond drilling has commenced at the Kenge Target to expand the resource around the Mbenge Zone where the company has intersected 2.1g/t gold over 48m and upgrade the Snakebite Zone where the company has intersected 20.8g/t gold over 8m.

A second diamond drilling will start at the Porcupine target for analyzing the Quill and Footwall zones in early April.

Quill is inferred to connect up to the NE Zone, which represents a potential addition of an 800m strike length of mineralized extension. The company intersects 2.0 g/t gold over 44 m and 2.6 g/t gold over 19 m at the Footwall Zone in 2010 and is open in all directions.
