Spanish Mountain Gold Signs Protocol Agreement with Williams Lake Indian Band

Spanish Mountain Gold (SMG) signs protocol agreement with Williams Lake Indian Band (WLIB).

This agreement deals with the issues related to the development of SMG's Spanish Mountain gold project situated close to Likely, BC. On March 14, 2011 there was a WLIB community meeting to discuss about the project.

Under the agreement, SMG and WLIB honors declared indigenous rights, development and exploration at the Spanish Mountain gold project.

WLIB receives capability support for the current project in addition to training, employment, and business opportunities. Moreover, the parties have agreed to cooperate on issues concerning the factors linked with construction, operation and recovery of significant mine development.

The agreement shows that both First Nations and the private industry can work together confidently. SMG is pleased with its affiliation with WLIB and offers a strong framework for the ongoing development of the Spanish Mountain Project. Vancouver-based Catana Consulting supports the company by successfully completing the protocol agreement.
