Mart Resources Reports Encouraging Assay Results from UMU-7 Well

Mart Resources, Midwestern Oil and Gas and SunTrust Oil have announced positive preliminary assay results from the first zone at UMU-7 well, which is situated in the Umusadege field, onshore Nigeria.

The companies have performed the initial analysis on the UMU-7 well on the XII(c) sand, which is a 17 foot oil zone. The flow of oil was 2,459 barrels per day at a steady rate having 36 API gravity oil by means of 2 7/8 inch tubing on a 40/64 inch choke at a flowing tubing pressure of 180 psi. The ratio of the basic sediment and water with gas/oil was 15% and about 21 standard cubic feet per barrel.

At present, the companies are examining the XIV sand through analysis on the X and XVI (a). The companies have finished the UMU-7 well by a dual-tubing string pattern with the completion of XVI (a) and XIV sands in 3 1⁄2 inch tubing string and XII(c) and X sands in 2 7⁄8 inch tubing string. These four zones can be locked and unlocked at any time on account of using the completion technology.
