Breitling Oil and Gas to Spud Breitling-Salsa #1 Prospect

Breitling Oil and Gas has spud the Breitling-Salsa #1 in San Patricio County, Texas. The company has continued to expand its Gulf Coast Onshore Initiative, which commenced in May 2010.

The company is anticipating drilling Breitling-Salsa #1 prospect up to 4800 feet to analyze the Upper Frio-aged oil and gas sands. The drill location is close to the two fields that have produced 210 million BO and 314 BCF together. This prospect is aiming at the stacked Frio objectives in a four-way closing up dip to the production of oil in the Plymouth Field. Three proven prolific zones in the Greta Stringer structure and two zones in Greta Massive structure are the main purpose of the Breitling-Salsa Prospect. The formation of anticline is normally outlined by the subsurface well control including interpretation and planned site that is verified by assimilating the three-dimensional Seismic. Breitling is expecting that the well will reach the full depth in approximately eight days. During the third week of May 2011, the company will complete and test the Breitling-Salsa #1 well.

There is a massive contiguous production from the Frio, Miocene and Vicksburg-aged sandstone reservoirs in this region. This well has huge prospective to IP more than 200 barrels of oil per day and shows a growing production of over 700,000 barrels.
