Trueclaim Exploration has drilled four oriented holes recently at the South Zone on the Scadding gold property. These holes offer explanation about the orientation of chloritic gold-bearing units and geographical contacts precise for the South Zone.
The oriented measurement results from the North Zone and East-West pit are constant. The three drilled zones gave encouraging results and the mineralization is of similar orientation. Also, the orientation measurements are reliable with the regional trend of 320°. The mineralized body in the South Zone is cut by an olivine diabase dyke.
The first two drill holes target the auriferous chlorite on the dyke’s north-eastern area and the other two drill holes target south-west mineralization. Constant structural orientation dimensions in chlorite breccia are received from diabase. This will allow the company to explore down-dip expansions and strike of mineralized chlorite breccia.
The geological group of Trueclaim has employed the newly aggregated data in Surpac to design the geological contacts of the South Zone and enhance understanding the link between different geological units in that zone, which will help in further expansion of the zone.
