Monster Mining Starts Airborne Geophysical Survey at Keno-Lightning Project

Monster Mining has begun an airborne geophysical survey at its Keno-Lightning project near Keno City in Yukon.

The location of this project is in the significant Keno Hill silver district and possesses the famous eight polymetallic gold-copper and silver-lead-zinc vein occurrences in the Selwyn Basin Devono-Mississipian metasedimentary diorites, schists and quartzites.

The company has engaged SkyTEM Surveys ApS to execute a 1460 line km time domain electromagnetic (TDEM) survey over the property. SkyTEM’s helicopter-borne system is well-matched to locate steeply dipping to vertical conductors and is able to produce highly accurate and high resolution information from the surface and up to 300 m depth and put an end to small disparities in lithological conductivity. The goal of the survey is to discover blind sulphide faults and veins to create exploration targets outside the recognized occurrences and support structural analysis of the mineralization and geology on the Keno-Lightning property. It is anticipated that the survey will be completed and release the survey results at the earliest.
