Wolverine Minerals Starts Exploration Work at Finlayson District Properties

Wolverine Minerals has begun the 2011 exploration program at its properties in the Finlayson District, eastern Yukon. The company includes a total of 10 properties in the Finlayson region.

The company has mobilized the crews to a central campsite in the Finlayson area. Geological mapping, backhoe trenching and thorough soil sampling are included in the preliminary work and the focus of the work will be on the String property to prioritize the core drilling targets. Moreover, crews have begun the renovation of the road into the Hoole property to mobilize the reverse circulation drill rig onto the property. The focus of the primary shallow reverse circulation drilling will be on the high-grade parts of the structure that occurs in the well-known mineralization. The company will execute a core drilling later, based on the success of this exploration work. The primary exploration at the Gam property will be focused to outline the anomalous area through prospecting, trenching and grid geochemical soil sampling to estimate its drilling potential.

The prospecting and reconnaissance geochemistry will explore the remaining early stage properties in the Finlayson area. The company is making progress in the formerly proclaimed activities at the Dawson Range properties.
