Castillian Resources has engaged Quantec Geoscience to perform a Titan 24 survey at its Hope Brook gold property in Newfoundland.
Quantec has developed Titan 24, a specialized system for ground geophysical survey and is successfully used in many international mineral exploration projects.
The Titan 24 system gets huge amounts of subsurface physical property data that comprises direct current resistivity and induced polarization chargeability at depths of up to 750 m and magnetotelluric resistivity to 1500 m. The proposed survey will enclose the significant targets that are discovered by Castillian in the old Hope Brook Mine–240 Zone region. The company is expecting the work on the survey to be completed in July 2011.
The CEO and President of the company, has stated that Castillian will receive high quality data from the Titan 24 survey to outline the nature and level of the gold mineralized system at depth. This will significantly support to plan further drill holes to examine the prospective deeper targets. Additionally, the company is ongoing an aggressive down-hole and surface survey program by means of high resolution resistivity measurements and induced polarization to describe the full area of the shallow mineralized zone. Two drill rigs will continually test the Hanging Wall, Pit Zone and Mine zone targets.
