Concordia Resource Begins Core Drilling at Albisu Property

Concordia Resource has started core drilling program at the Albisu property, which is a grassroots discovery situated in northern Nevada. The plan of this drilling program to examine the structures of potential mineralization along the western part of the wide low-grade gold mineralization that was found in 2008 and 2009.

The company has planned to drill two deep, angled core holes of around 500 m. One drill hole will analyze the north end of the project, where former drilling has intercepted extensive and low-grade mineralization and extremely altered volcanic rocks that feature high-level epithermal systems. The second hole will examine the structure around 1600 m along the southern strike. A third angled core hole of about 750 m will examine deeper below the two primary holes.

Concordia has completed 3573 m, totaling 12 HQ core holes in the quartz veining regions and alteration in the project’s northern part in 2008 and 2009. This diamond drilling has cut low-grade, extensive intercepts, including high-grade scattered thinner zones, in deeply altered volcanic rocks in each drill hole. The company has intersected 12 g/t gold over 1.5 m and 0.66 g/t gold over 41 m in the hole ALB-04. The features of the high level epithermal systems are the gold mineralization and the alteration associated with the mineralization. The extensive and unbroken low-grade gold halo along with the geochemically elevated mercury, silver, cobalt, molybdenum, and arsenic intervals in hydrothermally brecciated and altered volcanic rocks shows this to be an active and dynamic system.
