Uranium North Resource Completes Drilling Program at Amer Lake Uranium Deposit

Uranium North Resource has completed the 2011 drilling program at its Amer Lake uranium deposit located in Nunavut. This drilling program was planned to examine for further mineralization of uranium along the strike area of the Main Zone deposit so as to enhance the current 19.3 M lbs uranium resource.

The company has completed 15 reverse circulation (RC) drill holes in total at a maximum depth of 204 m to the southeast direction of the inferred resource. All the drill holes gave high and anomalous scintillometre evaluations excluding the three drill holes that did not attain its target depth because of the difficulties in drilling.

The CEO and President of Uranium North Resources, has stated that the CPS readings, which are elevated and anomalous, propose that the 2011 Amer Lake program extended the mineralization successfully to the southeast at the Main Zone. The lab will permit the company to find out the capacity level of increasing the existing resource.

The lab might have received all the samples or it might obtain the samples for assay testing. The sampling results will be employed to estimate an updated resource for the Amer Lake deposit.
