Firestone Ventures has provided updated additional results of the drilling programme carried out at the La Luna zine-lead-silver project located in central Guatemala. The project has been discovered to have high rate of silver mineralisation.
After completing the mapping, underground sampling, prospecting and soil sampling at the project the company has discovered five particular areas where silver, zinc and lead have been identified. The company has also received additional results from 92 rock samples that were collected from the Delta, Titan and Juno zones.
While at the Juno block seven out of a total of 18 collected samples displayed 10% zinc and four samples displayed more than 20% zinc, four samples contained 1% lead, one sample contained more than 23.3% lead and 49.9 g/t silver. From the Titan zone a total of 26 rock samples were collected. Of these 10 samples displayed zinc values that were higher than 10%, five samples of these displayed more than 20% zinc and five samples displayed more than 20.0 g/t silver and one sample returned 86.0 g/t silver. Out of the 32 rock samples that were collected from the Delta zone 11 contained more than 10% zinc of which five samples displayed a zinc content of more than 30%. Eight samples returned 1.74% to 6.37% lead and a silver content of 88.1 g/t. Firestone is having its operations in Guatemala since 2004 with its main project being the Torlon Hill zinc-lead-silver project located in western Guatemala.
