Eagle Hill Exploration Announces Initial Assay Results from Windfall Lake Gold Deposit

Eagle Hill Exploration has declared the initial assay results from the new drill campaign, which was conducted at the Windfall Lake Gold Deposit located in northwestern Quebec. The assay results constitute a part of a drilling program conducted to extend the size of the mineral resource estimate, which was announced earlier in November 2011.

EAG-12-393 hole encountered a broad mineralized interval assaying 11.8 g/t gold over 47.2 m. The gold mineralization begins at 40 m beneath the surface and continues down to 80 m beneath the surface. This gold mineralization was encountered 25 m towards the east of EAG-12-318 hole drilled during the early part of this year. EAG-12-318 hole encountered 22.85 g/t gold over 25.0 m at 50 m beneath the surface. The latest drill program validated the lateral extent of the shallow and broad gold mineralization that occurs within modified rhyolite and porphyry dykes and contains about 40% disseminated pyrite and pyrite stringers. The pyrite mineralization also contains trace amounts of visible gold, chalcopyrite and sphalerite.

In June 2012, Eagle Hill Exploration conducted mechanical stripping in the zone’s upper projection to sample the shallow gold mineralization. The company discovered regular pyrite stringer mineralization, and multiple gold grains were also discovered through hand panning of rusted material at the trench. This demonstrates that gold mineralization was encountered by a number of drill holes. Assays results for the channel samples are pending.

Eagle Hill Exploration’s Chief Geologist, Dr. Jean-Philippe Desrochers stated that the company is happy with the near surface drilling results. In view of such significant results, it has decided to analyze the upper extension of Zone 27 and aims to outline gold mineralization that could be mined through the open pit technique.
