Garibaldi Resources Continues to Intercept Significant Mineralization at Locust Target

Garibaldi Resources has announced that mineralization of considerable thickness is being continuously intersected at the current drilling program, which is ongoing at the Locust target situated in the Tonichi project in Mexico.

The company has completed five diamond drill holes, totaling 1180.8 m, with the help of NQ diamond drill rig and is drilling a further hole. It will include further 50 to 70 m on hole 6 before commencing hole 7. The company encountered 0.33 g/t gold over 63.85 m and 0.45 g/t gold over 24.5 m from the holes LCT-12-5 and LCT-12-6, respectively.

According to Garibaldi Resources’ President, Steve Regoci, the mineralization style is analogous to many discoveries done recently in the area. These former results are in line with the possibility for Locust target to house a bulk tonnage gold deposit.

A breccia having barite and quartz in the matrix was analyzed in holes 5 and 6, which seem to intersect the same body that was isolated by roughly 120 m. It is uncertain if the hole 3 is a distinct structure or intersects this similar body. Hole 4 specifically explored an individual structure that was discovered through mapping. Holes 1 and 2 examined a stratigraphic model in order to identify mineralization in the layered volcanic series.

The Tonichi project lies in the productive Sierra Madre precious metal belt in Mexico, and encloses 47,000 ha. The land package of the project borders the properties that enclose a number of exploration projects, which include Promontorio and the Luz de Cobre-San Antonio de la Huerta.
