TomaGold to Begin Bulk Sampling Program at Monster Lake Property

TomaGold, a Canadian-based mining exploration company, intends to conduct a bulk sampling program at the Megane-325 gold zone located at the Monster Lake property in Quebec.

In view of the high-nugget effect in the main gold structures of the Monster Lake, the company plans to conduct a bulk sampling in a particular gold structure area to identify more grades for the Monster Lake prospective gold resource.

Diamond drilling assay results may not offer a reliable option for assessing grade in these mineralization types. Additional high-nugget effect gold deposit studies, which include the Joe Mann gold mine and indicates similarities to the mineralization at the Monster Lake, show that surface diamond drill hole assays may reduce the real grade of in-situ gold. In addition, the objective of the bulk sample will be to examine grade and structural continuity and milling or mining features of the gold-bearing structures of the Monster Lake.

Since 1984, the property has been subjected to drilling to more than 30,000 m. The drill campaigns conducted during 2010 and 2011 produced considerable results from the region located between 325 and Megane zones.

According to TomaGold’s CEO and President, David Grondin, this bulk sampling program is the next phase for Monster Lake as it will facilitate the company to assess the gold content of the structure and validate the metal recoveries and grades, and will also set the economic feasibility of the deposit for possible mining. The company selected the Megane-325 zone over the Annie zone, as overburden was not found. The bulk sample program will need several agreements and permits from the contractors for the milling and mining part. The shareholders will be given updated data as the project progresses.
