B2Gold Corp has announced positive results at its Nicaragua mine. At the La Libertad mine the company has found drill results that would enhance the currently projected life span of the mine and increase the gold production at the project. As of now the life of the mine has been pegged at seven years.
Kinross Gold Corp has sold its small stake in the Osisko Mining Corp. The gold mining company sold 6.8 million shares for about $100 million at a rate of $14.70 per share. This constituted about a 1.8% stake in the Osisko Mining Corp.
The Peso in Chile shot up for the tenth day running as bigger than forecast retail sales in the US boosted it.

A joint venture agreement has been signed by Russia and Mongolia to develop the largest untapped uranium field in the world. The uranium mine in Mongolia will be developed with Russian investment in the first stage of the project.
