Canadian company Mosquito Consolidated Gold Mines Ltd has received final approval from the US Forest Service to begin exploration in Idaho. The company will be looking for molybdenum (Mo) in the Boise National Forest where the world’s largest such deposit of the silvery metal is said to be located.
In Guinea the new National Transitional Council has begun debating a mining code that proposes the government own a 35 percent stake in commodity companies. Rumors have it that the code recommends a free participation level of 15 percent for the government and the right to buy another 20 percent.

First Reserve and AMCI have sold $390 million worth of shares they owned in Australian coal mining company Whitehaven Coal.
Beowulf Mining is optimistic about its flagship project in Sweden. The Kallak South and Kallak North exploration drilling program have shown interesting and positive assay results. Bewoulfe Mining says it is greatly encouraged by the results of the drilling at the large iron ore resource.
Rusoro Mining Ltd will be transferring its assets to a joint venture with a state owned company as a partner as Venezuela nationalizes gold mining. The company is the only publicly traded gold miner in the country. The nationalization of gold was announced by President Hugo Chavez this month.
The Northern Dynasty Minerals Ltd company has put its 50% stake in a copper and gold deposit in Alaska up for sale.
There will be a rise in the demand for the products and services that are employed in the development of shale gas to $52 billion during 2015, as the industrial activity persists in shooting up in the budding Fayetteville, Marcellus, Haynesville shale plays.
