Horizonte Minerals has started a 3,000 m diamond drilling program at its Falcao gold project in the Carajas mining district, Brazil. This project is a joint venture (JV) with AngloGoldAshanti, wherein the operator is Horizonte.
New Guinea Gold (NGG) has obtained the diamond drilling results of holes, KVD026 and KVD027, located in the Kavursuki zone. This zone is situated on strike with the Sinivit Mine and extends 1.5 to 2.0 km to the north.

Caterpillar Inc is all set to increase its investment in the Griffin facility. They will create 200 jobs in Spalding County with their investment of $ 120 million. The money will be spent on machinery, equipment, and upgrades to the existing facility as per Governor Nathan Deal.
Australian Treasury Secretary Martin Parkinson is concerned about discouraging overseas investment. He feels that politicians squabbling over foreign investors will drive away essential overseas investments in the country if things are not handled with care.
