Lithium Corporation has begun drilling on its Salt Wells Lithium property in West Central Nevada. The drilling has been subcontracted to the drilling arm of Pediment Gold LLC. The company has already announced its plans to test the area of a large Lithium Brine anomaly by drilling moderate depth drill holes to help located the most economically viable Lithium mineral deposits on the property.

Vancouver based Wesgold Minerals has acquired an option to buy up to 51% in the Cordoba Property. The Colombian mining property has received an initial 11% investment from Minatura International LLC for a sum of $4 million. The property has prospects for iron, copper and gold mineral deposits. Wegold specializes in acquiring and exploring early stage gold projects.

The mining industry in the U.S. may not have a well established sense of history but the people still do. When a mining company proposed blowing up the historic site of the worker’s uprising at Blair Mountain to gain access to the coal lying below it faced major opposition to its plans.
