In accordance with Maya Gold & Silver Inc.’s growth plans, with the ramp-up of the Zgounder Silver mine, the close completion of its PEA at Boumadine, Ag, Au, Ge, and Zn after many years of contemporary exploration, the company is taking efforts to investigate and develop its Azegour Mine, in which uranium, tungsten¸ copper, and molybdenum have been mined before.

In order to speed up the exploration and development of the asset, Maya Gold & Silver Inc. is expanding its exploration team at Azegour. The mine was in dormant state. In March, fieldwork will be started with an aim to complete a NI 43-101 independent PEA towards the end of this year or beginning of the next year, based on the exploration results and speeds of metallurgical and laboratory testing delays.

The contemplated work involves surface exploration, computerization, surveying, underground exploration at previously accessible levels, surface diamond drilling, geophysical survey, surface diamond drilling, metallurgical testing with sampling of historical rock piles and tailings, underground percussion drilling, and the legacy cleaning.

GoldMinds Geoservices Inc. has been hired by Maya Gold & Silver Inc. to guide and help the Maya technical team at Azegour to make sure that both procedures and work are suitably aligned with customary best practice with these commodities with the aim to apply the findings to prepare an independent NI 43-101 technical report.

Samples collected by Goldminds Geoservices Inc. in 2017 were sent to a Canadian-based laboratory (AGAT Laboratories Ontario, Canada).

+ The sample collected from the historical copper ore pile underground returned: sample #10363: Zn 4410 ppm, Co 905 ppm, Cu 18.6%, Mo 409 ppm, and Ag 51 ppm

+ The sample collected from the historical surface molybdenum ore pile returned: sample#10362: Mo 3.5%
