Caza Gold has announced the ongoing Phase I drilling program at the Balleza gold project on the Moris property in Mexico.
The company will finish core drilling of around 4,000 m to analyze the core of the bulk tonnage Balleza gold target, which is of length 1200 m and breadth of up to 400 m. This gold target is a potassically and silicified altered zone along the intersection of a large dacite dike connected to length of 7 km regional mineralized formation and the host andesite tuffs.
Two gold mineralization types, which is low-grade scattered mineralization and high-grade quartz stock-work zone, has been found at Balleza by surface sampling. The high-grade quartz stock-works has yielded up to 36 g/t gold in grab samples. Caza has collected over 550 rock chip samples in the Balleza target, wherein 237 samples surpass 0.3 g/t gold and 1.27 g/t gold in average.
This Balleza project, which is a part of the Moris property, is situated 10 km west of Ocampo mine of Gammon Gold. It is approximately 230 km northwest of Chihuahua City in Mexico.
