Lago Dourado Minerals has received additional assay results from its 18,000 m Phase I drill program at its Juruena Gold Project in Brazil. Under the Phase I drill program, the company will drill the remaining 60 holes during summer and the fall.
The company has cut 101.1 g/t gold over 1.0 m, 2.09 g/t gold over 16.0 m in the hole JRND012 and 21.60 g/t gold over 1.0 m, including 3.77 g/t gold over 7.0 m and 1.39 g/t gold over 57.5 m in the hole JRND010.
Lago Dourado has drilled at the Crentes Zone and has intercepted wide mineralization zones over 400 m strike length trending west-northwest and down to 200m depth. The mineralization stays open along the strike and at depth, with the excellent soil anomaly broadening eastwards for at least 600 m and westwards for 800 m. The main purpose of the company’s first holes drilled at Crentes is to understand the controls and mineralized gold distribution at the property. The three drilling rigs present at the property are examining the main targets, which were newly discovered by geochemical and geophysical interpretation. Querosene, Jacare and Noventa Graus zones are the primary target areas and were not drill tested formerly.
