Discovery Ventures, Major Drilling Group International Ink Contract for La Sarita Project

Discovery Ventures and Major Drilling Group International have inked a drilling contract. The diamond drill program will be started at the La Sarita Project this week. Major Drilling continues to maintain the field offices and operations in Africa, Asia, Canada, the United States, South and Central America in order to help the various drilling necessities of the customers.

It offers drilling services of all kinds that comprises directional, multi-purpose, sonic, underground and surface coring, grade control, environmental, shallow gas, water-well, reverse circulation, coal-bed methane and geotechnical.

The latest visit by Dr. Ron H. McMillan's to the property has concluded the commencement of further soil sampling and mapping for optimizing the future drilling and for analyzing the strong magnetic and IP anomalies located in the grid’s northeast part due to lack of information about these strong anomalies.

Currently, the company’s field team has completed grid soil sampling and geological mapping at the La Sarita project. This stage has incorporated a three dimensional induced polarization (IP) survey in order to outline the sub surface geological formations, diamond drilling and underground and surface sampling. This La Sarita project has silver and copper mineralization over at least 2.4 km of strike length and 100 to 500 m deep. The company is currently ongoing comprehensive sampling program at the property for finding further high priority targets.

The property includes several significant artisanal type small-scale mining operations with surface and underground works. Two large scale copper mines, the La Caridad and the Cananea mines, one of the world’s largest open pit mines, are present in Sonora Mexico. La Caridad has a concentrator and a copper mine.
