Cartier Resources has started the drill program at the silver zone of the Cadillac Extension project, which is situated 115 km to the eastern part of Val-d'Or in Quebec.
The focus of this program will be to examine the at-depth continuity of the at-surface mineralization outline of the Langlade deposit. The company has scheduled to drill 10 holes, totaling 1,200 m.
The company defined the targeted silver-rich polymetalic zone at the surface over 4000 sq. m area and this zone comprises locally massive to distributed sulphides. It planned the drill targets by considering all the new results of geophysical program, 3-D modeling of the zone mineralization and the drilling assay results. Cartier conducted an induced polarization (IP) geophysical survey on the zone and defined an anomaly, which associates with the mineralization and assists in field interpretation. Mineralization expansion stays possibly open at depth and to the south and north-west.
The CEO and President of Cartier, Philippe Cloutier stated that the company is delighted to drill this strong target area. He added that this drilling campaign will quickly assist in finding the potential for Langlade at depth and to enable an additional orient drill program during 2012.
