Kentor Gold Looks to Expand Gabanintha Copper Gold Project
Kentor Gold hopes to expand the existing gold JORC resource at the Gabanintha Gold Copper Project in Western Australia. In order to do so the mid-tier gold mining company is planning a reverse circulation drilling program at the location.
The decision to perform follow up drilling in the region has been taken by Kentor Gold given the results from a September 2011 HeliTEM survey. The previous survey was conducted over some of the most prospective areas of the company’s tenements. At the end of which several drilling targets were identified for the Gabanintha Gold Copper Project.
The reverse circulation drilling program at the project is to be a part of a larger 20,000 meter reverse circulation drilling program that will begin in January at the Burnakura Gold Project. The modeling of the drilling targets will also begin this month to allow the company to estimate the size and orientation of the targets to direct the follow up drilling.
Kentor Gold hopes to increase Gabanintha’s existing Inferred Resource of 4.5 million tonnes at 1.4 grams per tonne (g/t) gold for 203,000 ounces of gold based on a 0.5g/t cut off. They hope to begin gold production at Burnakura in the current year.
