Evrim Resources Commences Exploration at Cumobabi Porphyry Project

Evrim Resources has commenced the 2012 exploration at the Cumobabi porphyry project, containing copper and molybdenum, in Sonora, Mexico. The joint effort between Evrim and Inmet Mining has resulted in this exploration program, which is based on an option agreement in February 2011.

The exploration program for 2012 will include pole-dipole induced polarization geophysics for around 100 line-km along with comprehensive geological mapping program in order to outline fresh drill target areas and improve the drilling targets that were discovered early during the 2011 program. Geochemical sampling, mapping and ZTEM geophysics program conducted over the complete 407 sq. km property were included in the 2011 exploration program. The company is carrying out line cutting and is expecting to complete the program by the end of July. Then, Evrim will examine the compiled data in order to find the drill targets, which may require testing later in 2012. The company has approved a budget of around $1.12 million for this exploration phase at the property.

According to the CEO and President of Evrim Resources, Paddy Nicol, the 2011 exploration program at Cumobabi was a property-wide reconnaissance campaign that aimed to find drill testing areas or targets. The company is taking steps to refine those targets this year and has planned for drill testing of those targets later in 2012. It is delighted to maintain an excellent collaboration with Inmet Mining, he added.

The Cumobabi copper-molybdenum porphyry project has a main land area, which contains 407 sq. km in a proven porphyry and breccia district in Mexico.
