Drill Program Commences on Superior Copper Project

Superior Copper Corporation is pleased to announce the commencement of a 25,000 meter diamond drill program on its 100% owned Superior Copper Project, located 85 kilometers north of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.

The first phase of drilling will commence on June 15th, 2014. The primary objective of the program is to test the potential for Iron Oxide Copper Gold deposits. The Company has identified large geophysical magnetic highs with coincident gravity anomalies, copper-bearing hematitic breccias, as well as IOCG-type alteration patterns throughout the property. The Superior Property is also spatially associated with prominent structural features related to the Lake Superior Mid-Continental Rift. It is believed that the MCR has played a key role in the formation of numerous world-class copper and nickel-copper deposits around Lake Superior.

In April 2014, Superior Copper completed an airborne ZTEM (GeoTech) survey over the entire project area. Based on results, the ZTEM has complimented the magnetic and gravity geophysical signature of the property and has aided in drill target interpretation. The Superior Property has had no historic drilling deeper than 225 vertical meters.
