Canarc Resource has outlined two geochemical soil anomalies containing gold and silver at the Windfall Hills project, which is situated 90 km to the northwest portion of Blackwater-Davidson gold discovery and 65 km to the southern part of Burns Lake.
Northern Lion Gold has begun the aerial geophysical survey at its western permits, located in the Republic of Cyprus. Geotech Airborne Malta has been engaged by the company to conduct a versatile time-domain electromagnetic (VTEM) helicopter-borne geophysical survey at line spacings of 100 m for 850 line-km and will also enclose 80 sq. km.
NMC Resource has reported that the three exploration holes located at the NMC Moland mine has assisted the presence of the high-grade mineralization of molybdenite to the western parts of the current deposit. Additional drilling is needed to appraise the extentl of mineralization towards the west part.
Archean Star Resources has completed the initial diamond drill hole and is drilling the second hole, TB007, during the ongoing diamond drilling campaign at the Turnberry zone, which is located in the Gnaweeda gold project in Western Australia.

Endeavour Silver has reported that the exploration drilling continues to cut high-grade gold and silver at the Daniela vein of the Lucero South region of the company’s Guanajuato Mines project, Mexico.
Calibre Mining has reported the phase II resource delineation drill campaign results from the Riscos de Oro project, which is an epithermal gold-silver project in the Borosi Concessions, northeast Nicaragua.

The new underground copper mine near Cloncurry, Queensland, Australia being developed by Xstrata saw work commence this week. The previous open cut mining site is being converted into an underground operation in a bid to extend the life of the mine until 2024.

In Peru President Ollanta Humala has declared an emergency in the northern Andes to control anti-mining protests and demonstrations which have been paralyzing the largest gold mining project in the country.
Global Witness has decided to depart from the Kimberely Process. The human rights watchdog made the decision on Monday and cited an outdated approach by the program to certify diamond exports as the reason for this decision.

Silver Bear Resources has released the initial results of the diamond drill campaign conducted at the Mangazeisky silver property, Russia. This property has greater than 100 silver occurrences in the main northwest-north trending mineralized formation, which extended along a corridor of 35 km.
Argus Metals has extended the CUZ discovery by means of two further drill holes, which is located 80 m and 240 m from HY-11-37 discovery hole in the Hyland gold project, Yukon. The company is waiting for the further assay results of the Main zone and the regional exploration.
