Metals Creek Resources Announces Additional Assays from Ogden Gold Project
Metals Creek Resources has reported further assays from the 3593 m of diamond drilling conducted at the Ogden gold project in Ontario.
Two shallow intercepts in the hole TOG-11-12 have been included in the new drilling results obtained from the Thomas Ogden zone. The initial intercept encountered 0.97 g/t gold over 33.47 m in the altered sediments, porphyry along with strong silicification and connected pyrite. A second mineralization zone was cut further down the hole that encountered 1.46 g/t gold over 27.8 m in altered porphyry and conglomerate. The company drilled the hole TOG-11-12 for 25 m below the former hole TOG-11-06 that encountered a down hole intercept of 1.02 g/t gold over 35.45 m. These new results from the hole TOG-11-12 have continuously shown the shallow potential of gold of the Thomas Ogden zone.
The company is expecting for the assay results from a further drill hole on the Ogden zone and will be announced when they are available. It has been planned to resume the drill program at the Ogden property by February, 2012 along with further step-out holes that are planned on the shallow mineralization at the zone and additional defining the new high-grade mineralization discovery at depth.
Metals Creek obtained the results from three drill holes that were focused on geophysical anomalies located external to the popular mineralized zones. The company did not find any significant results.
